Branch
offices
With companies
becoming more and more geographically dispersed,
network connectivity is increasingly important.
Many small to mid-sized branch offices find that
the PACESETTERTM offers an ideal solution
for their networking needs, providing a
high-speed link to an enterprise network along
with Internet access. Offices can use the
high-speed connection to ensure connectivity for
mission-critical applications.
The
PACESETTER can connect branch
offices to the main office and the
Internet over an ISDN or Frame Relay
connection.

The PACESETTER Pro
and the PACESETTER T1 are both ideal solutions
for branch offices. The PACESETTER T1 comes with
an integrated intelligent DSU, so you can
eliminate additional equipment in your network.
The PACESETTER Pro
provides a scaleable solution if you want to
start with an ISDN connection and upgrade to a 56
kbps dedicated line, or even to a high-speed T1
or FT1 line. You can bundle the PACESETTER Pro
with an ADC Kentrox add/drop DSU, allowing you to
share a T1 connection with voice traffic from a
PBX as well as data traffic from the office
network.
The PACESETTER
routers offer security for dial-in access by
telecommuters or traveling employees. Because the
PACESETTER is compact and simple to set up and
configure, it is ideal for tradeshows and
presentations that require a network connection.
Within the branch
office, the DHCP server feature in the PACESETTER
allows automatic assignment of IP addresses for
your computers, so when you hire a new employee
you don't have to worry about reconfiguring the
office LAN.
The PACESETTER is
also compatible with the servers you most
commonly use in a branch office: NT and Novell.
