Information Builders Intros Pure Java Server

Information Builders Inc. made its entry into the hot application server market yesterday with an offering that should help companies integrate Java and Web applications with transaction and decision support systems to create high-performance E-business systems.

EDA Enterprise Component Broker 2.0 is a 100% Pure Java application server and one of the first products on the market to implement the Enterprise JavaBeans standard for component interoperability. IT departments can use ECB middleware to integrate databases, ERP applications, legacy and Web applications. Version 1 of ECB provided database connectivity and Corba services, but was not a full-fledged Java application server.
